TURBO 8-BIT

A pure, old-school arcade racer built for one thing — the high score. We made it because we missed that classic 16-bit racer feeling, and wanted it back in our pockets. Dodge traffic across a road that keeps growing, manage your fuel, and chase pure distance up the global leaderboard. One thumb, no mercy.

Free to play · Online leaderboard · One-thumb controls · No account required to play

Features

Simple to pick up. Impossible to put down.

No maps, no timers, no pay-to-win. Just you, a pixel car, and a road that keeps getting wider, faster and meaner. How far can you drive before the crash?

I.

One thumb, zero mercy

Tap or swipe to change lanes — that's the whole control scheme. Easy to learn, brutal to master as the road grows from three lanes to seven.

II.

It's all about distance

Your score is the metres you survive — nothing else. Every run is a clean shot at a new personal best. Pure bragging rights.

III.

Climb the world leaderboard

Every crash submits your distance to the online Google Play leaderboard. Beat your friends, beat strangers, beat yourself.

IV.

Manage the chaos

Grab fuel cans before the tank runs dry, snag a shield to smash straight through traffic for a few seconds, and dodge puddles that slow you down amid a wall of rival cars that won't move.

V.

Unlock the Garage

Every metre pays. Spend your winnings on car skins, custom looks for every pickup, and colour themes — and drive far enough to reveal the locked ones.

VI.

Authentic 8-bit

Chunky pixel art, punchy retro sound effects and an original chiptune soundtrack — all generated in-engine. Tiny download, instant fun.

How It Works

Pick up and play.

  • I.Tap to steer. Tap or swipe left and right to switch lanes — every tap counts, as fast as you can chain them. That's the entire control scheme.
  • II.Dodge & survive. Weave through traffic, keep your fuel topped up, and grab a shield whenever one appears.
  • III.Climb the board. Every crash logs your distance to the leaderboard. Then you hit "again", because of course you do.

Questions, Answered

The essentials.

  • I.How much does it cost? TURBO 8-BIT is free to play, supported by ads. An optional rewarded ad lets you continue a run where you left off.
  • II.Do I need an account? No. You can play instantly. Signing in to Google Play Games is optional and only used for the online leaderboard and the ten achievements.
  • III.Are there in-app purchases? No. Every cosmetic is earned by playing — the cash comes from the distance you drive, never from your wallet.
  • IV.Does it work offline? The game itself plays offline. The leaderboard, achievements and ads need a connection.
  • V.What about my data? The game shows ads and uses analytics to improve, and asks for your consent where required. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
